About Us

We are Jabril Abdi, Seynab Ali, Mohamed Abukar and Batula Ismail. We came to Lewiston, Maine in the mid-2000s as refugees from Somalia and started farming in Lisbon. Our people are farmers and we have always fed our country. Now we are growing food for our new communities in Southern Maine.

We are building economic security for New Americans by providing delicious vegetables for our community. By purchasing our food, you are getting healthy food for your family and helping grow security, jobs and ownership in the Somali Bantu community in Lewiston.   Our cooperative provides us with access to land, equipment, and markets.
