Dear Clatsop County Friend,
As we approach the end of another challenging year, we are filled with gratitude for all those who have given so generously of themselves as volunteers, as donors, and as partners to help children who have experienced abuse or neglect in our community. We are thankful for you and greatly appreciate your support of our mission.
Four-year-old Jeremy has a big heart. He loves playing outside and spending time with his friends. But Jeremy’s parents struggle with addiction and Jeremy suffered physical and emotional abuse. He moved from foster home to foster home until he was appointed a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer. CASA volunteer Grace advocated for Jeremy’s best interests and helped him find a safe, permanent home.
A CASA volunteer takes the time to get to know the child. To know what’s possible and what the child needs to heal and thrive. A CASA volunteer can provide a sense of hope as a consistent presence in the child’s life, especially during this holiday season.
We provide a voice for Jeremy and other children like him. We believe EVERY child facing an uncertain future deserves to have a safe, permanent, and loving home.
With a volunteer dedicated to their case, Clatsop County’s most vulnerable children will have an adult by their side to speak up for their best interests and to help them find the road home, wherever it lies. With your support, more children in Clatsop County can thrive in 2023.
