London Ray-Dysktra is the founder and Co-owner of Hustle/Haven located just across the street from Family Service! Being an active and involved member of her community is important to London. In the past she has served as Chair of the 110 Society at the Taubman Museum of Art; as a volunteer with the Junior League of Roanoke Valley; and as a member of the Roanoke Valley Garden Club. Her previous career was in marketing and development for non-profits and she has continued that work through planning events to raise funds for several local organizations, including Roanoke Pride/PRISM, Planned Parenthood, Feeding Southwest Virginia and more. As a lifelong dancer, dance was always her physical fitness and emotional outlet. Going to a gym felt foreign and quite frankly, boring. She wanted a class where someone told her what to do and gently encouraged her to keep moving. Once she found hot yoga and indoor cycling, she was hooked. She has since created her own business where she was able to create an environment for others to move their bodies, not just for the physical benefits but more importantly for mental and emotional wellness.

Jess Downs is the owner of Gatewood Rose Botanicals, also located in Downtown Roanoke across the street from Beamer's and Big Lick Brewery, and just beside Tuco's Taqueria. Downs opened her houseplant business in August of 2021 during the pandemic when "plants were keeping everyone company while they were staying home, and became a popular hobby for many while cooped up inside. In brought the outside in!" She also hosts "Plants & Pints" each month which includes a unique, plant-related activity for plant enthusiasts to participate in, such as pot painting, succulent gardens, Plant Bingo, etc.). Downs enjoys having repeat customers come back to the shop to purchase another plant because they had success with the first one they purchased!

Since opening, Gatewood Rose Botanicals has won several awards from the readers of The Roanoker Magazine: (Platinum for New Business You Can't Wait to Check Out and Best Thing to Happen in Roanoke; and Gold for Best Hidden Gem).
