Take Pride in Supporting one of the longest running TGNC organizations in Los Angeles - Gender Justice LA!

GJLA is building TGI power!

Gender Justice LA (GJLA) is building the power of the TGI community in Los Angeles to:
Make concrete changes for racial, gender, and economic justice; develop community responses to violence; heal from present & historical trauma
Through organizing, leadership development, art, healing, wellness and policy advocacy, we are building our collective power to fight for the issues impacting our communities. GJLA is led by and for TGI, 2S, Black, Indigenous, POC transgender people. We’re 23+ years resilient!

GJLA focuses on serving Transgender Gender Expansive, Intersex (TGI), Two-Spirit (2S), Black, Indigenous, People Of Color (POC) Californians primarily focused on individuals who are seeking no-low-income, in need of community, resources, and other opportunities in Los Angeles County and throughout California. The GJLA Center is located in County District 1 (CD1) in the historic neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, in Los Angeles, CA.

GJLA is a member-based, grassroots social justice organization for and led by gender non-conforming, genderfluid, two-spirit, questioning, and trans Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) in LA County, centering low-income communities. We organize, hold space, provide resources, and collaborate with others so that our communities can: resist oppression, develop community responses to violence, heal from present & historical trauma, and come together in ways that feel brave & affirming. We know that personally and culturally, our genders are bigger than the language we have. We are 23+ years resilient with our roots dating back to 1995.

Our constituents and members make up a wide arrange of gender(s), sexual identities and expressions. We are committed to making concrete changes for racial, gender and economic justice. Through organizing, leadership development, policy advocacy and coalition work, we are building our collective power to fight for issues impacting our communities.
