This holiday season, year end holiday gifts to Global Justice Ecology Project will be doubled up to $5,000!

The programs of Global Justice Ecology Project center on protecting wild forests and defending the rights of Indigenous Peoples and rural communities in the US, in Chile and around the globe. This work is a critical piece of the struggle for climate justice.

In the midst of today's many ecological and social crises, GJEP is more committed than ever to transform the unjust political and economic systems that drive these crises.

It is the support of you and others like you has made this critical work possible.

Today we are fighting reckless and dangerous plans to release genetically engineered (GE) trees into wild forests to spread uncontrollably and contaminate wild trees. The USDA has released a petition by researchers that are requesting the legalization of these GE trees and we are mobilizing to stop this massive and irreversible experiment with our forests.

We are also continuing our work in solidarity with Mapuche Peoples and environmental justice organizations in Chile. These groups just experienced an historic victory when an overwhelming majority of the population voted to rewrite the country's Constitution--a Constitution created under the brutal military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. GJEP spent a month in Chile last November documenting and meeting with organizers involved with the Peoples Uprising that began in October 2019 to demand systemic change, and a new Constitution.

By developing an understanding of the deep interconnections of these issues, we can come together and develop next steps toward a new socially and ecologically just future. Join Global Justice Ecology Project as we help create this new future.

Please support our work with a DOUBLED year end donation today!

Thank you!
